IRAQ COULD BE THE ACE CARD BETWEEN DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS

Friday, February 29th, 2008

McCain has realized the importance of Iraq in his bid for the presidency. He decided not to dwell on the past - referring to Obama’s remark that al-Qaida wouldn’t be in Iraq if it weren’t for “George Bush and John McCain decid(ing) to invade Iraq.” “What we should be talking about is what we’re going to do now,” McCain said. It is obvious that one of the major factor, if not the major, in future debates will be U.S. security and how to best secure it with regard to leaving or withdrawing our troops from Iraq. According to recent pools, Americans feel more confident if McCain handles the situation than Obama, because of McCain’s past records on national security.

HUCKABEE COMMENTS ON OBAMA’S “PRICELESS” CHANGES

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Republican and former Arkansas governor, Mike Huckabee, does know his
math after all. He calculated that Obama’s vision of providing
universal health care and college tuition would cost the American people
about $287 billion dollars. He added however there is one thing no one
can figure out yet and that is “how much will it cost us when we walk
away and leave Iraq in a mess and the Middle East blows up, how much
will that cost?”

OBAMA AND MUSLIM TIES: TRUE OR FALSE?

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

That Obama is born half Muslim and half Christian is no secret. Does his middle, Hussein, reminds us of another one? Of course. Does it worry some? Sure it does. Should we raise questions on his affiliation? Definitely. But should we relentlessly fault him for it? Absolutely not.

Fact 1: Obama was raised Christian and after a short stay in Indonesia, he attended school in the USA.

Fact 2: Obama has been a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago for the last 20 years.

Fact 3: Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School.

Fact 4: Obama has served as a University of Chicago lecturer, civil rights lawyer and 7 years in the Illinois Senate before being elected in the U.S. Senate in 2004 with 70% of the vote. So far, his educational background is similar to any other presidential contender. Granted his public professional service in Washington D.C. is not as long as others, but this could actually be an asset. Many voters see this as a positive point because all the shenanigans going on in the capital didn’t have a chance to influence Obama’s views and opinions. From his followers’ feed back, it seems that Obama is the change this country has been waiting for and needs, he is ready to take on Washington D.C.and all its convoluted mess and do a thorough cleaning job, or at least attempt to, and that is what the majority of the American population wants. An America for the people by the people.
