IS ACORN FRAUDULOUSLY HELPING OBAMA?
Friday, October 10th, 2008Obama’s $800,000 payment to ACORN - Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now - and $832,598 to its affiliate Citizens Services, Inc. during the primaries help increase the democratic voter registrations. But are all of them legit? Not so according to the Federal Election Commission that is intensively investigating allegations of fraud all coming from ACORN’s submittal of said registrations, especially to the battleground state of Ohio.
In Cuyahoga County, which includes Cleveland, is presently reviewing 65,000 voter cards, submitted by ACORN, after 50 of them have shown duplicate names, fictitious addresses, noncitizens and recycled names, stated Mike West, the board spokesman. Ohio counties are starting their own probe as well.
Citizens Services and ACORN are working hand in hand. They even share the same address in New Orleans and the same executive staff with money flowing in from all three branches (because that what they are basically even though they use different entities) the Project Vote, the Citizens Services and ACORN.
ACORN was instrumental in endorsing Obama for president.
The downside of it is that ACORN is nor being investigated for possible fraud in bogus voter applications in dozen states, many of them battlegrounds.
ACORN stated that if fraud occurred it was not done intentionally. The voter canvassers were paid for each registration and they might be the guilty ones.
“We worked with the election officials to root out employees that are ripping us off,” said Brian Mellor, legal counsel for ACORN and Project Vote. “We did everything we could do and some election officials dropped the ball and now are blaming us.”
Possibly, but then where is their quality control? I cannot believe that ACORN does not take extreme measures to prevent such colossal fraud that can reverberate badly on their institution but also rig a presidential nomination which is such a crucial decision the American people put their heart into.
