Howard Dean on John McCain

Tuesday, April 1st, 2008

Howard Dean’s Statement about John McCain - 2004

“The real issue is this,” Dean said in March 2004, when endorsing formal rival Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., “Who would you rather have in charge of the defense of the United States of America, a group of people who never served a day overseas in their life, or a guy who served his country honorably and has three Purple Hearts and a Silver Star on the battlefields of Vietnam?”

Howard Dean’s Statement about John McCain - 2008

“John McCain is out of touch with the issues facing Americans each day. Instead of offering solutions to the high cost of health care, help for the middle class or ideas to create jobs, McCain offers 100 years in Iraq and more of the same Bush budgets that have heaped debt onto our children and damaged our economy. Instead of ending the influence of lobbyists in Washington, he’s hired them to run his campaign. The closer voters look at the real McCain record, the more they will realize he cannot be trusted to deliver the change America wants.”

Editors Comment:

John McCain has been awarded the Silver Star, the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Star Medals, a Purple Heart and the Distinguished Flying Cross.

IT’S “MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING” AGAIN.

Of all the nation’s newspapers, the NYTimes has indeed sunk to its
lowest ebb. The oldest and most defamatory accusation of all that cost
many past presidential candidates their bid to continue their campaign,
was thrown in McCain’s path as he was closing in the 1,192 delegates he
needs to become the GOP nominee. Was it purposely done? Why? No
matter its ill-fated intention, McCain emphatically denies any improper
behavior with Ms. Iseman. Cindy McCain attested to her husband
honorable character which would prevent him from disappointing his
family and his country. McCain admitted Ms. Iseman and he were
“friends” that often times would find themselves attending similar
functions and that was all.

MCCAIN NEAR SECURING THE GOP NOMINATION

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

Now that McCain has nearly won the GOP nomination, the real work is only
starting. Figure out the next strategy with regard to win the next 270
electoral votes. Based on who wins the democratic nomination, develop a
plan for facing that nominee. Fill in the gap in the divided GOP that
still resists McCain despite his conservative voting record. Then of
course, searching for the ideal vice-president and finally with the Bush
family endorsement, how to attract their influential donors network.
Super Tuesday II on March 4 could be the day when McCain secures his
nomination.
