RUNNING MATE RUMORS ALREADY STARTING ON MCCAIN’ SIDE.
Monday, February 18th, 2008Too soon to even dwell on McCain’s running mates hadn’t deter the media
machine to start the rumors of Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue as a
possibility on various cable news shows and newspapers. Among other
names, CBS News and the Wall Street Journal suggested that Secretary of
State Condoleezza Rice is another potential candidate. McCain would not
comment either way stating that it’s too early to talk about it since
Huckabee is still in the race. “I don’t want to in any way sidestep the
candidacy of Gov. Huckabee,” McCain told reporters.
